Kat called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Deborah took minutes.

Minutes approved by: Anna Mae Tandy mad motion, Tervina Moy seconded approval.

Treasurer’s report: Checking account balance is $8,191.98, CD balance is:$14,516.00, Dorothy Cunningham balance is $929.12.

Memberships: 25

Grant update: We have requested 4K from the City of San Leandro.

Calendar Updates:

Art Shows and Festivals: San Leandro Senior Center hanging was January 31st.. Molly and Cricket have a Valentine Show at Snappy’s Café in Hayward on Feb. 1st to Feb. 28th. Art fest will be June 20, 21 & 22nd at San Leandro Library. Froto Art Guild has a show on at Joes of East Bay in San Lorenzo.

Old Business –

New Business – Bob West and Kat are working on a new calendar and website updates. Storage space is needed for grids and this is under review.

Sunshine report: Alison Hall has volunteered for this position, Lawrence with be a backup.

Artist of the month is Jorge Lazo Hans

Snacks for March: Carol & Ginnie have volunteered.

34 people in attendance tonight.

Exhibitor: Peggy Milovina did a demo on Framing and Matting.

Memberships:  Two guests were visiting: Craig Williams and Susan Dorr. Cricket’s friend Susan Howell is joining association and mailing in application. Membership renewals are due for 2019.

New Business – New Board members were installed and Molly was thanked for her 2 years of service, while she turned the gavel over to Kat.
Sunshine report: Phil Denst is recovering from a stroke. Kathy Ries broke her arm. Carole Lundell has stepped down as volunteer for this position as of 1-1-19.
Artist of the month is Roberto Cunanan
Snacks for February will be supplied by Lawrence and Stella

Date: 2-13-18 Call to order - 7:00 p.m. Minutes - Approved by Kathleen Kelly and Marcia O’Kane Treasurer’s Report - Marcia included 3 grants at $300.00 each / Insurance is pending Committee Reports - Molly spoke about teaching at private schools for workshops and classes. • Bob West volunteered to help with school class workshops as he has resources information form the schools through working with his children and is Boy Scout Leader. Membership - Kathleen Kelly is sending applications out to previous members. Sherry mailed to non-email members. Shows - Must have dues paid up to be in member shows. (Hardship see Molly or Marcia). • 4/2/18 Library Hanging 9:00 am / Take-down 4/30 9:00 am • 4/20 and 21 ARTFEST - Patio, Trustee Room and Gallery (still open). Hang 8:00 am show 10 - 4 both days. • 5/19 Bayfair 10 am - 4 pm (voted by member) • June - July Zocalos • Senior Center - Summer (dates on way). • Plein Air - Sat. 2/17/18 9am - 12pm Livermore. See Molly for information and ride. • Sat. March 17 - Meek Estate - lunch Hayward Historical Museum on Foothill Outside Shows - Adobe - John and Marcia received awrds. We have several members representing SLAA there. Hayward Arts Council reception 2/24 (Historical Museum).
